Film Screening: An American Hero - The Gene T. Shipp Story

On Saturday, April 25th at 2:30 pm, the Frazier Park Library is pleased to announce the free film screening of "An American Hero - The Gene T. Shipp Story".  


Julian Wilson, Filmmaker of Silver Titan Productions said, “It is the story of an African American WWII veteran who also fought in Korea and in Vietnam.  He talks about growing up through segregation, fighting in the wars, being awarded the bronze star, and how he sees our progress as a nation with the election of a black president.”  This film will make for good discussion.  Veterans are most welcome to attend! 



Julian Wilson, filmmaker and executive producer of Nu Dawn Productions located in Los Angeles, was named the 2010-11 CSUB Alumnus of the year, who believes in giving back to his university by sharing his many talents with the communities.  Wilson is recognized at the Petroleum Club’s CSUB Alumni Hall of Fame.
